Following the announcement on 2 November 2017 from the Bank of England to raise the Base Rate by 0.25%, Marsden Building Society confirms that it is passing on the increase to its variable rate savings account holders and mortgages with effect from 1 December 2017.
Heather Crinion, General Manager (Operations) said; “As a mutual building society, we are committed to giving our savers the best value we can which is why we’re working hard to implement the changes as quickly as possible. We recognise that an interest rate increase will come as a disappointment to our borrowers and the corresponding impact on monthly household budgets”
Customers affected by any of the changes detailed will receive personal notification from the Society and there are also updates available in our Bank of England Support section on our website and social media pages. Should a customer want further information, our teams are available to discuss this further on 01282 440500 or at any of the Marsden branch locations.
