Asset & Liability Management Analyst

In this role you will assist in the ongoing quantification and management of liquidity and Interest Rate Risk Positions, preparation of Internal and External Management Information and Regulatory Reporting and provide analysis and support to inform product pricing decisions.

What you will do

With an eye for detail, and the ability to work autonomously and at pace, you will work closely with the Senior ALM Analyst on ALM analysis work including:

• Importing the balance sheet to our ALM software
• Preparing Interest Rate Risk Positions and Cashflow Forecasts
• Producing a range of regulatory returns for review across liquidity, capital and interest rate risk
• Reviewing cash positions to support daily cash management
• Supporting Effective Interest Rate calculation
• Noting internal meetings on Asset and Liability Management

This is a varied role in a small but growing team which will provide you with broad experience of ALM.

How you will do it

To perform this role you could either:

• Be a recent graduate in a mathematical/economic/computing/finance discipline
• Have practical experience in any of the following:
• Accounting
• Regulatory Reporting
• Banking and Finance
• Economic Analysis
• Overall you will need a strong numeracy/analytical skills, a logical mindset and demonstrate close attention to detail

This role is advertised on a full time basis, but we will consider applications from candidates wishing to work with a job share or part time arrangement. This hybrid role requires you to work on site at our Principal Office in Nelson for 3 days out of every 10 working days. We therefore require applicants to be willing to regularly commute in order to achieve the 30% of our hybrid working model and will not be able to consider applicants who wish to work fully remote.
