Marsden presents their affinity donation cheque

Marsden Building Society has donated £34,542.97 to their Affinity charity, North West Air Ambulance Charity.

On Friday 12th May, the Marsden’s Clitheroe branch was joined by North West Air Ambulance’s Fundraiser, Liz Greenwood, to present the annual affinity cheque.

The donation is a result of the Affinity saving accounts held by Marsden members which enables savers to choose a charity for them to support with their savings. The Marsden has a range of affinity accounts which enables members to help their chosen charity or good cause because the more they save, the more the Marsden donates.

For over 15 years the North West Air Ambulance Charity has provided the rapid pre-hospital care needed to make a life changing difference. They operate three helicopters, flying 365 days a year with doctors and paramedics on board providing emergency medical treatment when time is critical.

Clitheroe Branch Manager, Diane Morgan, said, “Our members appreciate the positive impact our affinity accounts have and this is also recognised by our staff. North West Air Ambulance makes such a life-changing difference to those in danger and we are so proud to be part of a business that gives back to the community.”

Liz Greenwood, Fundraiser at North West Air Ambulance said: “We’re delighted to have the support from Marsden Building Society and this annual donation from their Affinity Accounts – it’s a significant amount that has been raised with the support of Marsden members. Their generosity will help us to continue delivering our service to people who need our help.”
