SPF partnership offers Guernsey residents a wider range of mortgages

Marsden Building Society, based in Lancashire, England, are working closely with mortgage advisers SPF Private Clients to widen access to the mortgage solutions they are able to provide to Guernsey residents. The Marsden Building Society have been working closely with representatives on the island to support a wider range of options for customers in Guernsey and have developed three lending solutions alongside SPF Private Clients.

The first of the three mortgage ranges being provided by Marsden Building Society to Guernsey customers is lending up to £750,000 for residential mortgages on an interest only basis, or repayment on three and five-year product terms with interest rates from 2.29%. The Marsden is the only lender in Guernsey which is offering interest only options for customers across all its mortgage solutions .

SPF Private Clients has also identified a customer need for larger loans, and so Marsden Building Society has developed a range of larger mortgages for customers looking to borrower up to £1m, which are available on an interest only basis, to a maximum loan to value of 65%.

The Marsden’s 55+ mortgage range allows customers to take a mortgage in retirement up to the value of £750,000 on an interest only or repayment basis. Having launched their later life mortgages in the UK in 2014 and with over four years of specialist lending experience for customers over the age of 55, the Society is confident that its mortgage solutions will meet the needs of the Guernsey market, supporting remortgage or those looking to borrow for a variety of reasons.
