This Saturday, we’re participating in the annual Clitheroe Snow Moon Festival, an open celebration of light and the coming Spring. Our local Clitheroe branch is eager to join the fun! Our staff have been busy decorating their window and we think it looks amazing!
The Snow Moon Festival will be celebrated on Saturday 8 February from 10:00am – 8:00pm in Clitheroe town centre. There will be a wide range of family-friendly activities throughout the day, including an art masterclass session, costume making workshops, children’s storytelling at Clitheroe Library and a poetry brew for those who want to listen or perform their own work.
There will also be a window art trail where you’ll be given the opportunity to walk down Castle Street and look at the wonderful window displays. The highlight of the festival will be the Snow Moon Parade, which will see community groups parade around the castle park, march through the market and towards the Grand. There will be several parade parties along the way where you can expect lots of music and dancing! The festival will end with a family disco for all ages at the Grand.
Diane Morgan, Clitheroe Branch Manager said “We were approached by the organisers of the Snow Moon Festival asking for the support of local businesses to promote this event by decorating our shop windows with a ‘Snow Moon’ theme. As we are a local Building Society we are pleased to be able to support local events. We hope the Festival is a great success and an enjoyable event for all those involved”.
