Women in Finance Charter

Female colleagues smile as they discuss their future at the Marsden

As a 'Society for all' we have a focus on inclusivity and operating with purpose. That's why we're proud to have signed up to the Women in Finance Charter, joining like-minded organisations within the financial services sector to promote gender balance.

What is the Women in Finance Charter?

The Women in Finance Charter was launched by HM Treasury as a pledge for gender balance across the financial services sector. The Charter reflects the government's aspiration to see gender balance at all levels across financial services firms. You can read more about the Charter on the Women in Finance website (External).

Where are we now?

Our Senior Management Team comprises our Board, Executive Committee and Senior Leadership Team. The table below demonstrates our commitment to supporting the development of women into senior posts. We recognise, however, that we are outliers in our sector and there’s still a lot to be done.

Our commitment

Our commitment is to ensure that we continue to have a minimum of 40% representation of either gender within our Senior Management Team. We aim to do this by engaging in robust workforce planning, facilitating opportunities for career growth and development for all colleagues, removing barriers for progression that are particularly prevalent for female colleagues, and ensuring we have robust recruitment practices that result in objective and inclusive appointments made for all roles across the Society.
