Like many businesses, we’ve put measures in place to keep you safe in branch. Now we’ve returned to opening new savings accounts face-to-face where we can, we thought we’d share some of the measures we’ve put in place so when you visit your local branch for your appointment, you know what to expect.
To keep our customers and colleagues safe, we ask that you wear a mask at all times whilst visiting your local branch, unless you cannot wear one for medical reasons. Our team members will be doing the same.
We have social distancing in place at all our branches, and because each branch has a maximum number of customers it can accommodate at any one time to support this, you may have to queue for a short while before entering.
Once you’re inside the branch, you’ll notice anti-bacterial hand gel dispensers in the entrance. The dispensers are operated by a foot pedal, so there’s no need to touch them with your hands. Please make sure you use the gel before making your way to an available position.
When you get to an available position, there are floor markers to indicate where to stand and chairs to sit on for those opening new accounts who will be in branch for a little longer, or those who need to take a seat. You’ll notice there are screens in place on each of the desks for further protection.
“Many of our customers are starting to adjust to this ‘new normal’,” said Philippa Farebrother-Dunn, Head of Retail. “But sometimes, not knowing how a business is operating or what measures they’ve put in place to keep you safe can cause anxiety.
“If you’re nervous about visiting us, don’t worry – our teams are on hand to guide you. We’ve put lots of measures in place to keep you safe, and although things may a look a little different, our teams are still here to help and to provide the same great service our customers are used to”
