We’ve been shortlisted as a finalist in the Engage Awards for ‘Best Employee Support Strategy During a Crisis’ as a result of the support we’ve given to colleagues over the course of the pandemic.
The awards celebrate organisations who go above and beyond in customer and employee engagement, with 20 categories across four overarching groups: Employee Experience; Customer Experience; Innovation, Technology and Integration and Workforce and Workplace Transformation.
The award for ‘Best Employee Support Strategy During a Crisis’ will go to the organisation that has introduced an organisation-wide strategy to support employees at every level throughout the pandemic and we’re delighted to have made the final alongside the likes of Bupa, DPD and more.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, we’ve worked hard to make sure colleagues have felt supported, whether working in our branch network or in our business support teams. Following government guidelines to keep everyone safe, we made it our top priority to make sure colleagues also felt supported with their wellbeing, connected and communicated with using a range of channels to deliver our internal messaging.
A new Intranet, colleague newsletter, specially trained Mental Health First Aiders and ‘pick-me-up’ gifts through the post were just some of the ways in which we engaged all areas of the business; from remote and office-based colleagues, to our branch teams and new starters to the Society.
The impact this had on our colleagues was shown in our 2020 engagement survey, with 96% of colleagues agreeing or strongly agreeing that the Society supported them during the pandemic^.
“We’re delighted to be a finalist in this category as we’re really proud of how we’ve supported our colleagues through such a difficult time.” Amy Bateman, Marketing Communications Executive at the Marsden, said, “Colleague wellbeing has always been so important to us, but during the pandemic we had to change how we did things to help our colleagues stay connected. The way we deliver our internal communications strategy has really evolved.
“We’ve been shortlisted with some fantastic companies, so to be recognised alongside these names is a great achievement!”
We’re looking forward to finding out if we’re winners at the awards ceremony on 2nd December. In the meantime, if you’d like to find out more about working for the Marsden, visit our ‘About us’ section where you’ll find interviews with colleagues, the latest vacancies and more.
