Notes on Voting
You’ll find more details about voting in your Notice of AGM and on your voting form, but you’ll need to meet the following voting conditions.
AGM Voting Conditions
The voting dates are either 20 April 2022 if you are using this form to vote by proxy or in branch, 22 April 2022 if you are voting online, or 27 April 2022 if you are voting in person at the AGM.
To be able to vote (either in person, online or by proxy) you must:
- Be at least 18 years old on 27 April 2022; and
- Be a sole or the first named account holder in our records; and
- Have a balance of at least £100 in your share account(s) with the Society on 31 December 2021 and have continued to have a share account(s) (whatever your account balance is) with the Society between 31 December 2021 and the voting date; or
- Have owed the Society not less than £100 on your mortgage account on 31 December 2021 and on the voting date.
Irrespective of how many investments, share or mortgage accounts you may have or whether you hold accounts in different capacities, you are only entitled to vote once. As you have to be a sole or first named account holder in the Society’s records, the voting form and AGM pack will only be addressed to the first named holder on a joint account.
Members attending the Meeting will be requested to produce their passbooks or other evidence of membership in order to obtain admission. Please also bring your proxy form with you if you have not used it. If you are appointing a proxy, other than the Chairman of the Meeting, to attend the Meeting and vote on your behalf, please ensure that your proxy brings an appropriate form of identification to the Meeting. If you appoint a proxy to vote on your behalf and your proxy does not attend the Meeting, your vote will not be counted.
