The Will Writing Company, part of "The Estate Planning Group" went into administration on the 15th February 2018.

We understand that the assets and database of "The Will Writing Company" and "The Family Trust Corporation" were purchased by Taylor Rose TKW and Philips Trust Corporation.  The future requirements of all Family Trust customers will be serviced by Philips Trust Corporation.

Deedbank who may currently hold customers wills and other documents are continuing to trade and should customers have any queries regarding their current arrangements should contact Deedbank directly.

The Society does not have a relationship or any arrangement with Taylor Rose TKW, Philips Trust Corporation or Deedbank and therefore cannot provide advice on what action a customer should take.  A customer can find a suitable solicitor via the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), www.sra.opg.uk/consumers/using-solicitor/find-solicitor.page.

Can I contact the Will Writing Company?

I'm currently paying a monthly subscription to the Will Writing Company, which included storage and amendments to my existing will is this still valid?

I have paid the Will Writing Company for ongoing changes to my will and need to make a change, what should I do?

The on-going service plan, the will-writing and probate support will now be offered by Philips Trust Corporation.

I have an existing trust held by the Family Trust Corporation how are they effected?

Philips Trust Corporation Ltd will service the future requirements of all Family Trust Corporation customers.  Customers will be offered their standard terms of engagement, and as previously, the customer can ask the Family Trust Corporation to retire and appoint new trustees in their place if they choose to do so. This request can be made by contacting Philips Trust Corporation Ltd.

The Will Writing Company currently holds my Will, how can I retrieve this?

You can arrange the return of your Will by contacting the storage company, Deedbank.  We recommend emailing them using storage@deedbank.co.uk or telephoning them on 0330 555 7555 between the hours of 10 am and 4 pm (Monday to Friday).

There will be a charge made for retrieval of documents in line with the Deedbank storage cost structure.  These costs will vary by document and will need to be paid directly to Deedbank.

How do I make a complaint?

If you wish to make a complaint against the Will Writing Company, you may wish to refer it to the Solicitors' Regulation Authority (SRA)( Compensation Fund, who can sometimes help an individual where an SRA regulated firms fails for which they have been paid.

If your payment to the Will Writing Company was made by credit card, you may wish to refer your complaint to your credit card provider who may be able to refund the amount if you have not received what you paid for.
