We’ve been supporting our customers with their savings and mortgage needs for over 160 years, but did you know that we also offer award-winning home insurance though our partnership with Uinsure?

Our friendly branch colleagues are always on hand to discuss your options and answer any questions you may have about Uinsure. However, we’ve answered some of your frequently asked questions below!

Who are Uinsure?

Founded in 2007, Uinsure have been recognised by industry experts for their care and dedication to customers. Rated 5-star by financial research specialist, Defaqto, Uinsure’s award-winning home insurance product is available to Marsden customers and can be tailored to suit your needs.

What is home insurance, and is it mandatory?

Home insurance can come in two forms – buildings insurance and contents insurance, and with Uinsure, you’ll be able to choose either one or both, depending on your needs.

Buildings insurance protects the structure of your home, including walls, roof, permanent fixtures and fittings, while contents insurance is there to protect your belongings against things like theft, damage and loss.

While contents insurance is optional, if you’re a homeowner, most mortgage lenders will insist you have buildings cover in place.

What’s covered in the policy?

Uinsure will cover your buildings up to £1 million as standard to protect against loss or damage to the structure of your home, and your contents will be covered up to £75,000, with the option to increase this to £100,000. You can find out more about what’s covered and what isn’t covered on our ‘Home Insurance’ page or by reading the policy documents.

When you take out a policy with Uinsure, you’ll also have access to their experienced claims and customer service team in the UK, providing support 24/7.

How do I find out more?

If you’d like to find out more about Uinsure’s policy, you can request a call back or get a quote on our dedicated ‘Home Insurance’ page.

Alternatively, if you’d like to get in touch or arrange an appointment with your local Marsden branch, you can find their contact details on our ‘Find a branch’ page.
