Marsden Building Society has officially celebrated the opening of its new Colne branch on Church Street, welcoming customers, local business owners and community representatives to mark the occasion.
The new branch, located in the former Santander premises, was officially opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by branch manager Donna Grundy, marking an exciting new chapter for the Society’s presence within the town.
Guests had the opportunity to tour the branch, meet the Colne branch team and see first-hand the Society’s continued investment in its branch network and commitment to face-to-face service.
The relocation from Albert Road to Church Street provides enhanced facilities for customers while placing the Society in a central high street location, making it even more accessible for the local community.
Donna Grundy, Colne Branch Manager at Marsden Building Society, said: "It was great to welcome customers, local business owners and members of the community to celebrate the opening of our new Colne branch. The event was a wonderful way to mark the occasion, and it was fantastic to see both familiar and new faces in attendance. We’d especially like to thank our members for their continued support throughout the relocation and look forward to serving the community from our new home."
Rob Pheasey, Chief Executive at Marsden Building Society, added: "This investment demonstrates our commitment to Colne and the wider Lancashire area. Maintaining a strong presence on the high street is important for our valued members who rely on a physical branch to manage their accounts. The new premises provide a modern and welcoming environment for our customers, while ensuring we continue to deliver the personal service that sets us apart.”
The move forms part of the Society's rollout of branch improvements, following recent refurbishments at its Lytham and Garstang branches, and reflects the Marsden's ongoing commitment to investing in local communities.
