Marsden Building Society has donated £4,220.06 to the Community Foundation for Lancashire’s Red Rose Responding Fund, thanks to the support of Lancashire businesses using the Society’s Business Deposit Affinity saving accounts.
The Marsden’s Business Deposit Affinity savings accounts can be opened via the Society’s website or by post, the accounts are exclusively designed for UK-based Limited Companies, Limited Liability Partnerships or Partnerships.
Each year, Marsden Building Society donates 0.25% of the total average balance of all business deposit affinity accounts to the Community Foundation for Lancashire’s Red Rose Responding Fund, which supports mental health and wellbeing across the region. This means that the more businesses save, the greater the donation made by the Society.
A minimum deposit of £5,000 is required to open any business deposit affinity account from the Marsden. Terms and conditions for each product can be found on the Society’s website.
Eligible businesses must also have less than 250 employees, and either an annual turnover of no more than £42.5 million and/or an annual balance sheet totalling no more than £36.5 million.
Rob Pheasey, Chief Executive at Marsden Building Society, commented: “As a mutual organisation, we’re proud to be able to give back in this way and to support such an important local fund. Our Business Deposit Affinity savings account allows us to turn everyday business savings into meaningful financial support for mental health projects, and we’d like to thank our account holders for helping us make a positive and lasting impact across the region.”
Karen Morris, Development Director & Deputy CEO at the Community Foundation for Lancashire, added: "The Red Rose Responding Fund aims to support the mental health and well-being of Lancashire residents, particularly those from vulnerable or marginalised communities. We're privileged to partner with Marsden Building Society and are proud of the efforts of their clients whose contribution to the fund through the Business Deposit Affinity savings accounts are extremely valuable and greatly appreciated."
The Red Rose Responding Fund invites local charities, and voluntary and community organisations to apply for grants of up to £3,000 to fund mental health-related projects.
