If you're looking to move house and want to transfer your existing Marsden mortgage to the new property, you can use this page to apply to 'port' your mortgage.
If the amount of your mortgage won't change
If the amount of your mortgage won't change, and you don't want to borrow more, you can apply to port your mortgage to a new property by filling out the form on this page.
Porting your mortgage is subject to a valuation of the property being carried out and the new property being acceptable security to us.
When you complete the form, you'll also have the option to change your repayment method and/or your mortgage term. Changing the term or repayment method will have an impact on the amount you pay each month. If you choose to switch to interest only, your payments will be lower but the capital won't be repaid. This means you'll still have to pay off the outstanding loan amount at the end of your mortgage term.
You can find out more about these changes on our 'Changing your repayment method' or 'Changing your mortgage term' pages. Before you apply, you can use our mortgage calculator to see what your monthly payments would be if you were to make either change.
Depending on your circumstances, and if the changes you apply for increase your mortgage payments, we may need to contact you to carry out an affordability check.
If you want to borrow more
If you want to borrow more than your existing mortgage, you'll need mortgage advice. We've partnered with Mortgage Advice Bureau who can provide advice to you.
When applying to port your mortgage online, please make sure you're comfortable with any changes. Deciding to make a change yourself means you're responsible for the change you choose and the service you've received is without advice.
If you don't want to make your own decision, or would like to borrow more on top of your existing mortgage loan and would like advice, we've partnered with Mortgage Advice Bureau. If you’d like to speak with an advisor, call 0808 501 2740 or request a call back using the button below.
There may be a cost to mortgage advice. The amount you pay will depend on your circumstances. The fee is up to 1% but a typical fee is 0.3% of the amount borrowed. Your adviser will talk you through any costs involved with the advice that will be provided.
If you don't want to borrow more and are happy to proceed without advice, fill in the form below.
