Lancashire-based Marsden Building Society has won the prestigious ‘Employer of the Year’ award at the 2025 Be Inspired Business Awards (BIBAs).

The awards, run by North & Western Lancashire Chamber of Commerce, is Lancashire’s longest running and largest business awards ceremony. Over 1,000 guests gathered at the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool on Friday 19th September to celebrate the best of Lancashire’s business community.

Marsden Building Society was honoured with the highly competitive ‘Employer of the Year’ accolade, recognising the Society as an exceptional employer in the region. The Society was also named as a finalist in the ‘Business of the Year’ and ‘Apprentice Team of the Year’ categories.

Rob Pheasey, Chief Executive at Marsden Building Society, commented: “We’re honoured to have won this award, which celebrates the hard work of our colleagues and the amazing culture we've built. Our people are the key to our success, so creating an environment where everyone feels valued and heard is incredibly important to us as an employer. We’d like to thank the BIBAs judges for this recognition and extend a huge congratulations to all of this year’s winners and finalists.”

Last year, Marsden Building Society, which has branches in Nelson, Burnley, Barrowford, Colne, Clitheroe, Garstang, Lytham and Poulton, won the 'Medium Business of the Year' award.
