Founded in 1860 by a group of local businessmen, our goal was to build something better for the community, so it’s no surprise that community is still at the heart of what we do. We always try and give back where we can, through sponsorships, by supporting local events and fundraising for causes across the region.
Getting involved in local events to support our community
Whether it’s a charity fundraiser or an agricultural show, we like to get out and about to support our local communities.
We’ve attended a number of local events over the years, from the Great Eccleston Show to the Clitheroe Food Festival, as well as sponsoring some great local initiatives including Tai Chi in the Park and the Best of Lancashire Awards.
Our founders wanted to build something better for the community and so do we, that’s why we’ll continue to support our local communities in the future.
Giving back to worthy causes
We support great causes in our local area as well as national charities. From internal fundraising to events in our branches, we believe in giving something back to those who need it the most.
We’re always proud to share with you how much we’ve raised across the year, whether it’s through our annual Affinity donations, or from taking part in fundraising activities. Keep an eye out on our website and Facebook page to see just how much we’ve managed to raise!
Supporting local initiatives
As well as attending local events, we know that a lot of local causes and initiatives require sponsorship to keep them running, and recently sponsored Tai Chi in the Park and the Best of Lancashire Awards.
Sponsoring local groups and events is important to us and a great way to show our support for the community, so if you’re an organisation who would like to work with the Marsden, get in touch by clicking the ‘Sponsorship form’ link on the bottom of this page. We can’t sponsor everyone, but we do try to support where we can.
